I’m still standing here after you told me everything I don't need to know, I bet you can't guess where I go at night for kicks.
It's late, tell me something I don't know, something I can't feel to the core, as the band goes and murders our favourite song next door.
You think that that holds some kind of weight, I'd say we'd probably laugh about it someday, that's why we're having this conversation now,
because you think it's all meant to be and I call it poetry that makes it all the more beautiful to me.
The band broke up the singer died you're never going to get to see them playing live and another one goes by.
Whilst you just bitch about all you can't get, but you don't get how good you got it, that's what happens when you let them grind you down.
it's like the dreams when you're running but the harder you push the heavier you get, but the difference is that you wake up from them.

As the southern sun innocently drops, the eager stars pierce through the lilac twilight and oh we have still got the other coast to go.
Us cats aren’t meant to stray so far, turns out the outskirts aren’t so bad, let’s start to beat a brand new track.
It’s got to be loaded heartbreak though you know that you can’t fake that, if you could would you really want to get away with that, oh oh oh.
I’ve given up the ghost and the spirits, oh but the old pipe nightmares keep me one foot in it all, I’ll tell you something if you promise not to laugh.
I’ve got another bright idea, another fine mess I’m sure, I think that we should start a band and tour.
We’ll call ourselves The Only Hearts Club Band, I knew you’d love that one man, we’ve long divorced ourselves from the silent realm of the overground, oh oh oh.
Oh you know what it’s like but you do it to yourself anyway, that’s addiction for you.
We missed the boat but I don’t mind, I kind like it here, so let’s just stick around and see what happens, famous last words.
I’ve had this tune floating round my brain for 20 years at least I’d say, I can’t remember any of the words or who it’s by, but it goes a little something like - do do do do do.

We're getting close but all the loose ends are bunched up like christmas tree lights and I won't be able to sleep tonight, if only I'd have thought about this sooner I might've been able to subsist or subside
or at least get some relief, Instead I'm here telling you things so I can feel better about myself, they're still in my head but they're off of my chest so I selfishly rest now.
The highs rarely ever live up to what I had in mind, the bottom's just enough out of my depth sometimes, when I go with the flow I get carried away with the undertow, I know, I know.
We're not quite there but getting warmer with all the mistakes and the slaps in our faces, oh baby I dunno how mush longer I can take this.
